Dieting is brutal. Let’s face it. No matter which diet you choose and no matter how excited you are to start off, every diet gets to a point (some very, very quickly) where you realize that your diet sucks. Don’t deny it. Embrace it.

Do you think that you can achieve an ideal body image without a diet? Can you get over your poor body image without embracing weight loss tips or somehow becoming good at identifying quality weight loss programs?

But, wouldn’t it be so much more fun just to lay in bed all day eating grapes and having our tummies rubbed by perky hot babes or well oiled and tan dudes? Yes, but where would that get you other than temporarily fat and happy.

Before we give you many examples of why every diet sucks, please know that we are not trying to get you to abandon your diet. Stay on your program. We are trying to help you understand that yes your diet sucks but embrace it anyway. Don’t quit your program because you somehow finally discovered that your diet sucks. Stay on your program by keeping a strong vision of your goal.

Every diet sucks and here are some reasons why:

#1 Most people do not stick to their diets. That’s it right there. The biggest reason that diets suck is not the diet but the fact that people fall off the wagon.

#2 The program has adverse effects. This is actually the second biggest reason that most people abandon their diets. The number one reason being the lack of will power. Adverse effects from diets include some of the following: anxiety, depression, poor health due to imbalance of food stuffs, lethargy or low self esteem and even worse symptoms like dizziness.

#3 The Diet is not the right program for you as an individual. Sometimes it takes weeks for us to figure out that this particular diet is for people half of our age and sometimes we discover in the first day that the diet is simply designed for other people are a different type of person.

#4 The Diet requires Will Power. Dieting is like praying for patience. Do that and you quickly realize that the good Lord puts lots of things in your life to get you to ‘build up’ your patience. It take a brave person to pray for patience. And diets take Will Power.

#5 The Diet simply is not working fast enough. Did we mention that Weight Loss is a long journey? If you are going to be successful on your diet, then you had better plan on riding out the storm. Bring your Will Power and plan on toughing it out over the long run.

#6 The Diet is too complicated. How many times have you thrown in the towel on a food program because you simply could not understand it or apply it with the ease that your busy life demands? It happens to all of us. But if you recognize it going in, you’ll be better equipped to deal with it down the road.

There are lots of other reasons why diets suck. But our point here is not to talk you into NOT dieting. Our point is to help you understand that yes, diets do suck. But get on with it anyway.

It’s like wanting 2 houses but not having the will to take the complexity that it adds to your life. What do you think takes more energy to maintain, a $20,000 care or a $60,000 car? One home or two? If you truly want to move forward in life, you have got to be able to take the good with the bad. If you are armed with the knowledge that the diet has certain flaws, you will be better equipped to deal with those shortfalls when they come up.

When you are reminded daily about you could look, you are going to stay on your program over the long run – even if your program sucks.
