Today Is The Day – Don’t Put Off Your Weight Loss Journey Any Longer

Jot down a quick to do list of everything you need to get done today. What’s on it? Do you need to take out the trash, pick up the dry cleaning, go to the store, pay some bills? Now, look at the list again. Is losing weight featured on it? For most people, the answer is probably ‘no’.
Losing weight is something a lot of people aspire to do but they never get it done because it isn’t a top priority in their lives. It gets put on the long finger, and people think ‘weight loss? Oh I’m too busy today, I’ll start that program tomorrow’. But tomorrow soon becomes next week, and next week becomes next month, until you realize, a few years down the line, you’re heavier than ever before and you’ve made no progress whatsoever with changing how you look.
That’s why today needs to be the day for change. You will never achieve your goals if you put them off over and over again. You have to make time for the important things in life. And losing weight is one of the most important things of all – it could even extend your life by a few years if you are fit and healthy. Not to mention the increased quality of life of all of your years.
Think about it, what would happen if you didn’t do your grocery shopping this week, or next week, or the week after? Soon your fridge and your cupboard would be empty. There would be no food for your family. Your pets would suffer too if no one is bringing home their pet food.
You know that this can’t be allowed to happen, so you always make time to do your grocery shopping, don’t you? You need to start treating your weight loss program as being equally important to you as your grocery shopping.
We waste so many hours every week just lazing around the house, sleeping late on our days off, or just sitting in front of the TV. Think of everything you could get done if you used up even half of this wasted time for good endeavors.
No one is saying you can’t have your leisure time and enjoy – after a hard week at work or school we all deserve this. But your well being is at stake when you are overweight. Make time to get some exercise, or to eat a piece of fruit, or to take the stairs instead of the elevator.
And do it today. Your body is ready for change, you just need to make the first step. And Let The Vision Empower You!
