Steps to Visualize Your Future

The process of visualization is not complex. However, there are some critical elements that can increase your success rate. Most people have the capacity to utilize their mind’s eye toward creating images – the ability to dream. Such is the seed of visualization. The following steps outline the core process toward visualization.

1) Develop a clear vision of your goal and avoid any conflicting images, thoughts or feelings. The more clearly the vision is developed, the better. This step includes getting your goal on paper.

2) Realize your future now using present tense. See and state your goals in the present tense, not wanting them in the future but as if you’ve already created them in your world today.

3) Express gratitude as if you’ve already achieved your goal. Anyone can be grateful for something after it has become real in their life; the true achiever is grateful for things prior to them becoming manifest.

4) Allow the physiological element to take hold. Your thoughts are clear on your goal as you have already developed your vision. You express gratitude for having already achieved your goal. So get excited. The more that you can allow your body to express physiologically change over your new vision, the more power your vision develops.

5) Do not allow FUD into your life: fear, uncertainty and doubt. Anytime you doubt yourself or your vision, even with simple thoughts of fear and worry, you take strength away from your vision. Become guarded against negativity.

Please do not over look the significance of this step. You may have self limiting thoughts and beliefs that need to be purged from your system in order for your new reality to take place. If that is the case, you need to reconcile your beliefs in order to tap the full potential of your being.

6) Sustain your vision over the long run. I’m not saying that you need to forgo all else in life in order to focus your mind’s eye incessantly. I’m saying that you need to recognize that the world does not operate on your time piece. It may take weeks, months or years longer than you desire but your future is clear if your vision is clear.

7) Optimize the process. Think about what is happening here. You are controlling your conscious mind to get behind a specific goal so that your subconscious mind can unleash its power toward your destination. There are certain times when the subconscious mind is more open to suggestion. Ideal times to visualize (seeing your future and be grateful for it already being in your life) are just prior to falling asleep or upon awakening. This is when the mind is most relaxed and the subconscious is completely open to suggestion.

8) Take action. Your mind is powerful and the world will respond to how you see yourself. But if you are not taking action consistent with your new vision, your mind will be trapped and you will never achieve your goal. Take action consistent with the new future you are looking to create.

Losing weight does not have to be so doom and gloom. By making some simple mental shifts about who you are and what your future holds, you can begin to realize a new reality.
